Q. How is RendezTrue different from other Internet dating sites / matching services?
A. RendezTrue provides a unique feature that allows members to match others by their preferences in music. Members have the options to upload their music play lists when creating their matching profiles. RendezTrue's unique patent-pending matching engine will analyze all play list entries between each pair of members based on information in their play list entries, such as the genre, artists, etc. and produces the TrueScore™, which represents a "compatibility indicator" between the two member for their references.

Other than the play list matching, RendezTrue offers all the services that are provided by general Internet dating sites / matching services. These include matching members by their general information - sex, age, appearance, locations, interests, life styles, ... etc. It also allows members to upload their photos, send messages, winks, ... and more.

Q. What is TrueScore™ ?
A. TrueScore™ is intended to be a quantative representation of the similarity between two people's interest and taste in music and other performing media such as video and Podcast. The calculation formula of TrueScore™ is based upon the comparison of the Genre, Artist, Album and Title of entries in the play lists of the two parties and then normalized to the total number of entries in the play lists.

Without getting too much into the technical details, from a user's point of view, the TrueScore™ is an integer value from 0 to 1000. The higher the value, the closer (i.e., more compatible) the two play lists are.

Q. How do I upload my play list?
A. Please refer to the Play List upload help page for instructions.

Q. How do I send a message to another member?
A. You can only send message that you have found to be a match to you. From the "Find Matches" page, click the member's username to navigate to the "About Member" page. At the bottom of the page, click the send message icon to send a message to this member.

Q. What do I do if I don't want to receive message from another member?
A. You can block a member to prevent him/her from sending further messages to you. To do this, you can click the "Block" button on the Message Detail page on any one of the message that you received from this member. You cannot block a member preemptively - i.e., block a member before he/she send any message to you.

Q. Once I blocked a member, how do I unblock him/her later?
A. To unblock a member, you can click the "Block" button on the Message Detail page on any one of the message that you received from this member. From there you can click the Unblock button to unblock the member.

Q. What is a wink and how do I send a wink to another member?
A. A wink is a gesture to another member indicating that you are interested in him/her. The member got winked at can go to their "My Activities" page to see who winked and when the wink occurred.

Q. Can I block another member from winking at me?
A. No, unlike blocking messages, you can't prevent others from winking at you. Instead, you can just ignore the winking, which means just not checking the winking activities.
